This is Eddie, a big wonderful bundle of love, energy and smarts!!!  He learns commands very fast and has a personality that will win you over in a NY minute.  He needs a loving family and a home with room to play.  He loves water, food, kisses, and other dogs.  A great big clown of a dog, a lifetime friend.  If he might be for you please call Dana at405-414-5651.

We received the very generous and very welcome gift of donated Sand and River rock from Ken Wert at A&A Trucking.  They have been so nice and generous to donate it!  The dogs are going to like it a lot!  

We have many things we need, to get ready for brrrrrrrrrr winter.  We have some much need fall projects going which Dana and Chris will tell more about as they happen.

Each season brings its own set of needs to Real Rescue. As fall progresses, and it gets much cooler, it reminds us winter is around the corner.  Right now in addition to the ever present food and vet bills needs, we are looking for funds for winter medications, winter tarps, dog houses, and new fencing.  The Combined Federal Campaign is a great and easy way to help Real Rescue meet monthly needs every year, and we and the animals in our care are so grateful for those who gave in the past and hope they and their federal friends will give for 2012!

We do want to say a huge thanks to Richard Rogers, our main and sometimes only help out at Real Rescue.  We don’t know what we would do without him.  We are truly blessed to have him!

Our mission is to help the lives of many through the humane placement of animals in need with those that will love and care for them. No animals in our shelter are ever put to death for lack of placement. We are a federal 501(c)(3) non profit corporation.  We receive no state or federal funding.  The work that we do is made possible through the generosity of people who care.

We are a small, family operated, 501(c)3 non-profit Oklahoma Corporation that was started by Dana and Chris Venters in June 2001.  We try to help any creature that crosses our path and is in need of assistance.  We provide whatever medical, psychological, physical and nutritional care the animal needs.  Of course, this is expensive and we depend entirely on tax-deductible contributions from family, friends and supporters.

We are currently building fences, kennels and excercise enclosures on our farm-sanctuary outside of Oklahoma City. We especially try to help elderly and handicapped animals and people.  Hopefully, you will find one or more of your true life-long companion animals here.
