When Olivia’s mom Susan donated her time and money baking items for a fundraiser for Real Rescue Inc at her work in Ohio, her daughter Olivia not only helped with the baking, she donated her own money, a bunch of change she had saved up, wanting to give to the animals too.  It was a great thing Olivia did, and we wanted to recognize her, and her mom who shows by example about giving and caring for animals at Real Rescue! … even though you may not have these magnificent ears, you too can help by donating your time and/or money!  We welcome and appreciate all such help! Thanks, Olivia (and Susan)!

Getting ready for winter

September 24th, 2009 · Uncategorized

We have a promise of a kennel building at our farm by a generous supporter, so we are thrilled.  Hopefully we will have a new shelter soon to keep the rain and snow off of the kennels.

In the meantime, we are needing 20 Large, not Xtra large, igloo dog houses, blankets and straw hoping before the weather gets much colder.  See our new NEED page.

Hannah and the story of the pups

September 21st, 2009 · Uncategorized

Hannah Jacobs web

A wonderful photo of  Chris’ niece Hannah Jacobs with a Real Rescue pup.  We rescued a momma lab and 9 (NINE !!!) puppies that were living under an abandoned car in a field.  Many rescues were contacted, but none would respond until they called us.  All the pups found good homes, and the mother who was totally wild is happy in a large enclosure at our farm.  We rescue many that have no other hope.  So this would be 10 Happy Tails: 9 adoptions and a good mama dog saved.
